STUDIO W I N D O W Is it not a little sad the by-word of today “That one’s not bad!” Have you watched the sea’s dy namic sweep, cold to your bone? Have you watched in blazing heat the' sun-steeped rocks? These alone Are not enough; to them apply painting’s fundamental laws (Not short roads to Art dubbed “self-expression”) then the fiawij The untrained eye seeks will be based upon these questions — Light, design, perspective, color— has a master taught you these? Can you put them all together and the critics always please? Mr. and Mrs. Jack A. Miller en tertained Mr. and Mrs. Grey of Pelham, at their home at the bay. Saturday was a large red letter day for the members of the S. Y. C. Some 207 people partook of the various items of the bill of fare. Much has been heard in praise of the arrangements for the comfort and convenience of the members and their guests at this occasion. The nearby grounds of the homes of Lester Little and Mrs. ByJhon were thrown open for the parking of many cars. After all had beeri served, the members and their guests departed, many of them to rendezvous at the Wharf House to take part in the games pre pared for Monte Carlo night. This program was very well devised, and with the use of paper money permitted a freedom in the ex pression of opinion such as has not been evidenced since Hoover went out of office. If the enter tainment committee can produce a more interesting program than that of last Saturday afternoon and evening, they are indeed marvels!
