After MiEord voters defeated two proposed school budgets, two propositions went before a public vote on Monday and both pas^d by wide margins. One of tiie propositions concerned the fund ing of atMetics. Conc^fied Milford citizens, inclinlhg many students, had been canvassing the area since word of the proposition votes became known in hopes of getting them passed. On the days preceding the proposition votes, signs could be seen throughout die village diat were in favor o f saving the sports program, and on the day of the vote vmous groups of students were seen extolling the virtues of the sports program with signs alongside the streets. The interscholastic sports, instnictional and safety equipment, and public use of the building proposition for $64,072 pas^i a- vote o f490-309. The second propo sition, to fond student participation In edttcatioiial ield trips for $8,000, passed by a vote of 466-315. \The main reason these two propositions were successful with voters is due to the hustle of our students.
