A t a recent meeting in M anhattan Mrs. Irm a L e v y , us head of a special com mittee, set out to re iso $100,003 in a w eek's campaign for the homo in Mineola. T h a t fund w as doubled in the week allotted for the drive, so that $200,000 was raised. This m e ans th a t not only the 35 little folk now being helped, but others to a total of 75 will soon receive care. Ad ditional buildings will bo erected so th a t a greater inm ale population can be accommodated. The Mineola Home for Cardiac Chil dren is housed in on old Q u aker home which, although not modern in con struction, is adm irably adapted for the purposes to which it is now put. It is a spotless, wholesome, wonder ful place with a truly delightful a t m osphere for children. This Is easy to understand after omi is adm itted to the cosy reception room and has the privi lege of Knowing Miss May Overend, superintendent and children's enthus iast extraordinary.
