NASSAU COUNTY REVIEW WATTS IN Vi FOR OFFICERS TeM to Leave Paata Alone For Finger Expert Who Never Made His Appearance Henry Weie» of 272 North Long Bench avenue will think twice again before he obeys the instructions of the I county authorities, and thereby hangs a pair of trousers. About three weeks ago thieves en tered the home of Weiss and with out the aid or consent of the owner, took $61 in bills from the pocket of his Sunday trousers which were hang ing over a chair in his bedroom. As the house was outside of the vil lage limits the case was reported to the county authorities, who told him not to touch anything until they ar rived. The tailor had Mr. Weiss’ other pair of trousers and wishing to aid the po lice, he left his “Sunday-go-to-lleet- in's\ just as they were and stayed at * ime himself. Sunday came and went, and another Sunday did the same, but no county authorities with it. With the Jewish Holiday, religicn came to the fore and Mr. Weiss marched to the Temple Is rael bedecked in the very garments that the county had overlooked, breathing defiance to a custom tha. would keep a man trouserless for weeks at a time. , TO move ’ business Lyman Jones Has Purchased Freeport Inn Property for New Store Lyman E. BROWN To the Man who is Interested in Truck Tire Economy Z*>|AREFUL truck owners are figuring their costs pretty closely these days—tire costs along with the others. It is n o longer “clap o n a new tire and hang the expense.” At least, not with the owners we come in contact with. S e r v ic e , w e a r , tr a c t i o n , cushioning qualities, construc tion are coming to mean more than they used to, n o t only to owners but to drivers of motor trucks. And the more they mean, the more we find truck owners and operators turning to the new U n ited States Grainless Rubber Solid Truck Tire. The tire that overcomes split* ting and base-separation—that goes on its way day after day, m o n th after m o n th, wearing down smoothly and uniformly without undue attention and; without expense. Handling U n ited States Solid Truck Tires in this city is in keeping with the progressive policy of our concern. Something new —something a little in advance of the times — is always coming out of the U n ited States R u b b e r Company. Before ^ordering a new truck, consult us about the kind of tires to specify. United States Tires a BENNETT SMITH, Inc. < Big Operations in Lumber require large shipments and facilities.
