J. Co., at Rockville Centre. _ _ _ _ _ Sidney Muddlman, aged 24 years, who resides at Greenlawn Park, had a narrow escape from death on Saturday last. Muddiman is employed as a sig nal helper by the Long Island Railroad and it was in discharge of bis duty that be was struck by an electric train at Rockaway and Atlantic avenues, Ja maica. At the time he was struck Muddlman waa repairing eigoal pipes along toe tracks and be Was ed intent •(loo bis work that he did not bear or i notice the train approaching. He was ' removed le St. Mary’s Hospital where It. waa found that be was only suffering from minor contusions aiid abrasions of the back which will keep him at the hospital for several days.
