See O u r Family Combination O f f e r Elsewhere of 6 Feconde, while the really serioud breaking of the rules governing the Horse Hose Contests by two com panies, was entirely ignored and over looked. The protest of the Bay View Hose (\o. was a just one and if the rules governing contests such as were held at Rockville Centre are to count for anything, the action of Brooklyn Hills and Glen Cove companies was of a nature to have caused the judges to rule them out of the contest on the gr.yynd of failure to comply with the rules as laid down fur the governing ot the Horse Hose Contests. The Bay View Hose Co. does not want to create any trouble or discord, but feel that seme publicity should he given as to the manner in which the first and second prizes were awarded at Rockville Centre. The members of the Bay View Hose Co. do not feel so much the loss of the prize to which they believe they were justly entitled, as they do the manner in which they were discriminated against. The prizes have been awarded, and according to Rule 1G: “ I h e decisions of judges on all dis puted points shall be final,\ the matter is settled.
