Don't Want Bridge .__-Ete.6ident Ralph Peters of the Long 1 Island Railroad, when asked as to the published report that his company was anixous to get the franchise for operat ing its trains over the Queensboro Bridge into Manhattan, said: \The idea is silly. We never had the least intention of applying for a franchise to operate our trains over the Queensboro Bridge. \And as to our opposition to the South Shore Traction Company, we hqve turned over to that corporation our franchise, secured at a considerable expenditure, for building a trolley rail road through the town of Babylon, , We are encouraging the building of trblley lines on Long Island and have no opposition to any line securing a franchise to get over the new bridge.— Eagle. Being held under the joint auspices of the Motor Boat Club of America and the New York Motor Boat Club, the offi cers of which are putting forth every effort to make the event the greatest in the history of motor boat sport, is no doubt in a great measure responsible for the interest shown. It is an event of great moment to all who are inter ested in the sport from the fact that it is Americans leading event and the championships of the year are decided. Not alone are the championship events scheduled for the high ypeed type of boat but all types of pleasure boats from the Motor Yacht down to the little open launch. The classes are made up as follows : Class A, High Speed Boats, 33 feet and under, with time allowance. Class B High Speed Boats, 12 me ters 39.37 feet) without time allow ance. Class C, High Speed boats, 40 ft. and over, with time allowance. Class D. Pleasure boats 60 ft. and over, with time allowance. Class E. Pleasure boats over 40ft. and under 60 ft., with time allowance. Class F. Pleasure boats, 40 ft. and under with time allowance. Class G. Open launches 30 ft and under with time allowance. In the Long Distance Race to Peek- skill and return for pleasure boats there will be two divisions, namely, all boats 40 ft. and over and all boats under 40 ft. both classes racing on time allow ance. In the long distance race to Poughkeepsie and return for High Speed boats, all will race as one class > with time allowance. All entries must be received on or before Sept. 13th by the Secretary to the Regatta Committee at his office, Room 14, 314 Madison Avenue, N. Y. City. 6 „ . NOTICE TO CREDITORS WHO IS RESPONSIBLE?
