This was felt to be not only good economic policy, but also conducive to cooper- ation with other organizationg In numerous conferences held, the unani- mous opinion 'was that the health field belonged to the Red Crogs Dr, Richard Derby of Oyster Bay accepted the chairmanship of this committee, and after consultation with the doctors in the cbunty and a thor- ough study of the field, it was decided that the best contribution the Red in- could make to health work in the fou ty would be the demonstration the Health Nursing services in schools and communities where it was not already established. The +mobile dental ambulance oper- ating under the direction of the Junior Red Cross, and too well known through out the county to require any extended notice, have made regular wisits to 35 schools.
