The annual drive for 'funds for the Boy Scout camp at Baiting Hollow has begun and the local committee is working hard to reach its quota. The committee , composed of Justice of the Peace Arthur R. Reich , Scoutmas- ter George Zeleny, Assistant Scout- master Hubert Bianco , Ferde J. Mist- ier , Mrs . Jacob Weber , Edward Pir- ner, John Schleyer and William Rate , met Sunday morning at Judge Reich' s office with Mr. Andrews , Scout exec- utive , and started the drive. Mr. Reich , Mr. Zeleny, Mr. Mistier , Mrs. Weber and Mr. Pirner attended a din- ner held last Thursday evening at Narragansett inn , Lindenhurst , for the County committees and workers. A display of the work of Troop 40 will be in the window of the Island Coal and Lumher company building this week in connection with the drive. The annual Scout- pageant will be held Saturday afternoon starting at 2:15 at the Boy Scout camp at Bait- ing Hollow , to which everyone is cor- dially invited to attend , especially parents of the Medford scouts . The local troop has just been re-organized after 14 years ,, and the boys are work- ing enthusiastically to get ratings. Scoutmaster Zeleny reports that the local boys received their Scoqt cards at the troop meetirrg last Friday evening -and several new candidates have been listed. Patrick - Raimond of Medford , one of the several Selective Service men inducted March 17, was recently pro- moted to corporal in the Medical corps at Camp Lee , Va.
