Since this is Mr. Hampshire ' s first year at Medford and Bishop Stires ' last year with -the congrega- tion , the church is expected to be crowded to capacity. The girl s answered roll call with incidents relative- to Washing- ton , and Mrs. Theis read a story about his life. Refreshments were served at a table decorated in red , white and blue. The cast for the skit , which will he given at the April 3 meeting of the Medford Parent-Teacher association , met at the home of Mrs. George S. Mistier Monday evening for the first rehearsal. The ladies will meet at the home of Mrs. Ferd Mistier next Monday and a rehearsal will also be held after tiie Parent-Teacher associa- tion meeting on March 13. The cast includes Mrs. 0. The terms of office of Mrs. Martha Theis and Mrs. Janet Frace were in- correctly stated in last week' s story of' the installation of officers of the Medford Republican club. Mrs. Theis is corresponding secretary for her ninth term , this period not having been consecutive , and Mrs. Frace is recording secretary for her fourth term. A sedan , owned and driven by Christian Ruoff of Medford , and a sedan , owned by Mrs. Helen M. Brough and driven by her brother , Fred H. Mason , both of 29 Hi ghland avenue , Patehogue , were involved in a collision on East Main street and Evergreen avenue , Patehogue , at 4 :46 p. m. Thursday, according to the report of Brookhaven Town Police Sergeant John E. Glover. The re- port . showed that Mr. Ruoff , drivin g northward on Evergreen avenue , was making a left turn into East Mam street , and that the Mason car. was westbound on East Main street. A sedan , owned . and driven by.Au- gust Shaeffer of Medford road , Med- ford , and another owned and- driven by Richard Bishop of 104 Hi ghland avenue , Patehogue , collided yesterday morning on Highland avenue at West Main \ street , Patehogue. The report of Patrolman Herman Mester showed that the Shaeffer car was being turned into Highland avenue fro m West Main stre*et and that the Bishop car was lieing driven southward on Highland avenue. 170 Men Registered , Patehogue A. L. Post A total of 170 World war veterans from Patehogu e and vicinity were registered Saturday at the Patehogue Legion clubhouse in the nation -wide registration proposed by National Legion Commander MiLo J. Warner as a national defense measure. In the registration , which was open to all American Legionnaries and other World war veterans , the men filled out questionnaires recording capaci- ties and talents that could be employ- ed in an emergency. ARMY WANTS RADIO MEN A call for young men with a flair for short-wave radio operation has been issued by the artny recruiting headquarters of the Second Corps Area. Amateur radio engineers , or those with an interest and aptitude in short-wave are sought for enlist- ment in the newly formed First Radio Intelli gence company, Signal .corps , stationed at Fort- Monmouth , N. J., to Col. L. B. Magruder , corps area- re r cruiting officer , says that because of the large number of non-commission- ed officer ratings given to specialists in communication work , enlistment will provide an excellent opportunity for intensive trade-training and fu- ture promotion. Tax delinquency is one of the prob- lems being studied by county land- use committees.
