Desp ite a mixture of tears and smiles in the crowd , the 11 local men were cheerful as the train pulled out. They shouted farewell to those assembled on the station platform , which included Frank Lightbody, chairman , and Capt. Robert G. Hur- ley, , oi- the draft board. J., 209 men to the 5th Coast Artillery unit , Fort Wadsworth , N. J.; 164 men to the 5th Coast Artillery unit , Fort Hamilton , N. Y.; 115 men to be about evenly divided b etween the 316th Signal corps , 308th Signal corps and 313th Signal corps , all at Mitchel field; 1 , 500 men to the Ninth division , Fort Bragg, N. G , and 404 men to be assigned as per later di- rections. The 1 , 500 men to go to Fort Bragg will be sent , 5O0 men to a train , ' on each ' of three cte' ys , January .16 , 20 and 22. Draftees to N. Y. Hotel The draftees that left Patchogue Monday morning were among the 90 or more detained iu the Jamaica induction center , thereby missing- Monday ' s train , and spent that nigh t in the Hotel Martinique , New York . A somewhat similar situation oc- curred Monday in Trenton , N. J., where draftees , after missing the train , might have been transported to the Fort Dix reception center , but instead were q uartered in a Trenton hotel ior the night. Major Allyne M.
