During the week-end a number of Boy Scouts from Ridgewood camped at the summer home of Mr. and Mrs. John Martin on Sylvan drive. Among them were Scoutmaster Leonard Litt- mann , assistant Scoutmasters Walter Martin , Leonard Wieland and Henry Schmidt and Scouts Arthur Wolfe and Eugene Ebbesberger. L Islanders Active In State Session Of Pulaski League One of the largest gatherings of Republicans of Polish descent in the history of politics in this state was the Pulaski Republican league ' s third annual convention , \which opened Sep- tember 7 in Schenectady, with an at- tendance of over 250 delegates from all counties of the state. The largest delegations were from Erie , Suffolk , Onondaga , and Schenectady. Anthony J. Keller of Monroe coun - ty was chosen permanent chairman , the other convention officers being Kalixt S. Synakowski of Suffolk , sec- retary ; Attorney Joseph A\ . Krup ski of Suffolk , first vice-chairman ; J ohn J. Sawicki of Nassau , second vice- chairman ; Mrs. Mary A/ Wodzicki of Suffolk , first vice-chairlady of the Ladies ' division , Mrs. Marth a Feler- ski , second vice-chairlady, and- John Macko of Onondaga , sergeant-at- arms. Among the committeemen appointed were Joseph Romanski of Suffolk and George Golan of Nassau on rules; J. J. Sawicki of Nassau , on press; and Benjamin Sadowski of Suffolk on nominations. The Schenectady unit entertained that; evening for about 600 delegates and friends at a \banquet and floor show , which Oswald D. Heck , speaker of the Assembly, and other prominent officials and civic workers . attended. - On Sunday the delegates attended the services in St. Mary ' s church where special service was held and prayers offered for peace in Europe. At the final session , Sunday, it was reported that the league has estab- lished units in 15 counties , and the membershi p runs into tens of thou- sands. Resolutions were adopted support- ing the Republican tickets nationally, in the state and locally, favoring con- scripti on for the defense of this coun- try and condemning fifth column ac- tivities in this and other democratic countries , also condemning the ravage of democracies by the totalitarian powers in Europe. BELLO--RUPOLO Miss Anna Margaret Rupolo , daugh - ter of Mx. and Mrs. Michael Rupolo of Coram , and Frank Anthony Bello of New York , son of Mrs. Marie Bello of Selden , were united in mar- riage by the Rev. Henry Parascan- dola in St. Sylvester ' s R. C. church , Medford , on Saturday afternoon at 4:30 o ' clock. The bride , who was given in mar- riage by her father , was beautifully gowned in a white satin princess style dress with a very lon g train , trimmed with rosettes. Her veil was also very long and was caught at the head with a coronet of orange blos- soms. She carried a bouquet of white carnations and baby ' s breath. Her traveling: costume was a \black and red outfit. The bride ' s sister , Mrs. Anthony Sgambelluri of Haledon , !N. J., was matron-of-honor and wore a'gown of wine-colored satin , a shor . t veil and tiara and carried a bouquet of deep pink carnations. The best man was Nathaniel Cri- sera of New York , cousin of the bride- groom. Mrs. Thomas Cullum of Medford played the organ and sang \I Love You Truly. \ A reception for about 300 people ¦wa s held at Weidner ' s hall , Patchogue , ¦with the Port Jefferson High school orchestra furnishing tho music for dancing.
