Centereach and two other schools -will put on a boxing exhibition . The par- ticipants in this event must box . with someone from their own school as no outside matching is allowed. . \ Monday, the pupils had a , holiday because of the joint teachers ' con- ference of the second and third Su- pervisory districts and the Bay Shore school district held at Bay Shore High school. Easter vacation for Centereach school begins March 15 at 3 :15 p. m. and school will be resumed on April 1. LAKE RONKONKOMA SCHOOL At the weekly assembly held last Wednesday, the fifth and sixth grades presented \The Punctuation Marks , \ an English play showing the im- portance of punctuati on . Also , a four-reel film in color was shown , entitled \The Cruise of the Empress. \ A travel picture covering all the continents , it was distributed by the Pacific Railway company. All classrooms in the Lake Ron- konkoma school are decorated in Easter array. Drawings and cutouts were made by the pupils. The Lake Ronkonkoma school will close for the Easter helidays on Thursday, March 21 , at noon , and will re-open on Monday, April 1. MEDFORD SCHOOL The pupils in the Medford school enjoyed a holiday Monday , while the teachers attended a conference at Bay Shore High school. The present staff in- cludes Duane W. Hawkins , principal , Mrs. Geneva W. Goozda , Miss Helen Faber , Miss Charlotte Muller , Miss Lorraine Latham , and Miss Emily Brengel. Hol d Bowling Leads The teams of Central Islip and Patchogue council s remained in this order at the top of the South Suffolk Knights of Columbus bowling league after Friday night' s games. At Frank' s alleys , East Islip , the Central Islip five toppled Bay Shore council in two out of three games , while Patchogue -was doing likewise to Sayville council on the North Pole alleys , Sayville. Because of the small number present , the group will hojd its next meeting sometime in June , when the class of '40 will be admitted and officers will be elected.
