Duffy, chaplain of the Sixty-Ninth regiment , and George Brent portrays \Wild Bill\ Donovan , dare-devil colonel. \With the exception of four char- acters , all in the p icture represent real persons , many still living. Jef- frey Lynn portrays Joyce Kilmer , soldier poet. Often called the Sham- rock brigade , the Sixty-Ninth regi- ment was known for . its ' unusually heroic exploits and its general -capa- city ' for scrapping. Captain John T. M., for the benefit of the Young Men ' s -fraternity of Port Jefferson. \ \ The scenes , are ;laid in a rural farm dis- trict and the cast has put much hard work into the presentation and the sets. : Islip Town Turns Down Parking Meter Proposa l Parking meters , -which were turned down during the past year as a possible solution ' o f Patehogue ' s parking problem , met a similar fate at the hands of the Islip Town board last week. Addressing James Papello of Port Jefferson , a parMng meter company representative , Supervisor Charles H. Duryea sai d the Islip board does not favor installati on of parking meters in Bay Shore or other village s in the town. Mr. Papello said his compan y had been informed that former Super- visor Warren F. Greenhalgh- favored the meters to hel p solve the parking situation in Bay Shore. Last fall , Islip town voters turned down a prop ositi on to . purchase a parking field at Bay-Shore.
