S coufs While former Boy Scout Paul Sip le is now enroute to the Antarctic for his third trip with Admiral Byrd , the minds of Suffolk Scouts are enr grossed in planning holiday winter camps at Baiting Hollow . Paul Siple slept in a tent for a period of several weeks when the temperature often dropped to 40 de- grees below zero , and while he had specially made clothing and sleeping bag, he still had just a tent , and pa- rents of Scouts are urged not to be too solicitous about their hoys \ sleep- ing out\ at Baiting Hollow when they have a comfortabl e log cabin and Adirondack shelters. A number of troops are planning two and three day trips and the council will supply a staff member for a special Senior Scout Winter camp December 27 , 28 , and 29 , for Scouts of First class rank who are at least 15 years of age. Applica- tions for this camp must have the approval of scoutmaster and parents , and copies may. be had by any troop on . application to the council office.
