AND NOW PRE-K & KINDERGARTEN TOO! 2013-2014 PWSC WINTER SOCCER PROGRAM The Port Washington Soccar Club is now offering an immersive winter program targeting athletic performance, and technical and tactical development. Beginning the first week of December 2013, the [Winter]mural Program will run twelve weeks, two times per week for 1 st, 2nd and 3rd graders, and once per week, for 10 weeks, for PreK & K. For the 1»t, 2nd end 3rd graders, each 90 minute practice session will consist of three separata 30 minute training segments, Athletic, Technical and Tactical. Tha Athletic segment will be conducted by the expert staff of tha Parlsl spaad school with the goal to enhance each player's overall athletic ability. The Technical segment will focus on Individual ball control skills and proper kicking biomechanics. The Tactical will look to anhance the player ’ s decision making under pressure and overall game intelligence. At the end of the winter season, each player will emerge stronger, faster, better skilled and increase their Soccer IQ significantly. The [Winterlmurals will be held at the brand new Paris! Speed School facility in Port Washington. The state-of-the-art facility contains both a turf field and a cushioned floor, as well as Individual classrooms for yoga strength training and seminars for game intelligence Instruction. Space Is extremely limited for this unparalleled approach to soccer development on the North Shore, so register todayl NEW PRE-K / K [W] MURALS Due to popular demand, the PWSC is now offering a [Winterlmurals session for the Pre-K and Kindergarten age groups. The program will focus on the technical aspects of soccer: ball control, dribbling and passing in a vivacious and dynamic atmosphere. This Fundamental approach aims to generate a love of the game, while laying the foundation for the next stage of soccer development. Starting the first week of December, the 10 week / one session per week program costs only $195. Space is limited, so register today! ATHLETIC DEVELOPMENT Th« Athletic Development portion of the [Wlnterjmural program Is designed to Improve fundamental athletic skills in our players. The segment will target enhancing coordination, Instilling proper running technique, developing first step quickness, building strength, improving flexibility, increasing agility, boosting endurance, maximizing jumping ability and preventing injuries. All players will benefit from Parisl's proven approach to total athletic performance, not only for soccer, but all sports. TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT The Technical Development segment will advance players confidence on the ball. Receiving, passing, dribbling, volleying, heading will all be addressed. An emphasis on a positive and Intelligent first touch will be promoted to create time and space. Confident dribbling and the ability to take on opponents 1 vl will be promoted with specific ball-handling instruction. Whether passing, shooting or volleying home the game winner, the Technical development will also coach proper kicking biomechanics to generate power and accuracy, as wall as prevent bad habits from forming. TACTICAL DEVELOPMENT A significant part of the club's new curriculum, Tactical Development allows players to read the game, predict play through pattern recognition and make better decisions under pressure from opponents. By providing concise, coaching-in-the-game instruction and conducting small-sided games In confined spaces, the player will be trained to identify complex and ever-changing game situations in order to make savvy and creative decisions on the field. Due to the ever-increasing menu! demands of the modern game, cultivating Intelligent and tactically sophisticated players at this critical age will provide the crucial skills necessary to take players to the next level of individual and team achlavament.
