Summer Issue Of PbuneBook Off The Press ‘ 75,000 Copies ' Now Being Distributed In Nassau County That famous five-foot book shelf would necessarily have to be one-eighth of a mile long to hold all the 75,000 copies of the new 306- page telephone directory now being distributed by carrier to local tele phone subscribers in Nassau Coun ty. The book itself, removed for inspection from the fantastic book case, is bound in gray \with two outline maps of the eastern sea board printed thereon. These show the weekday and the reduced night and Sunday rates to various out- of-town , points. The new directory is divided into two sections, the first pontoinlng 240 pages with some 53,000 alpha betical listings in names, addresses and telephone numbers of Nassau County subscribers. Including thosa of the Farmlngdale district.
