Recently, Dr. Celeste Checchia, the princi pal of St. Mary ’ s Elementary School praised the service of her students at a school assembly. November and December are busy months of service when the chil dren participate in “ Giving Day. ” This is a school tradition of giving to the less fortu nate on Wednesdays in the form of dela tions. These pic tures illustrate students learning through the process of service unto others. St. Mary ’ s students sponsor a food drive.
