Walter, who was swimming with his brother George 8, and a few companions were swim- min: in what they call the pit about 3/1, of a mile from their home at Big Tree, Walter diving first, came up struggling in the water, the brother seeing him struggle dove in helping him to shore, finding they could not do anything to help him, George with his companions carried him home.
