Spiritual leader dies Bishop Frank 0. White of Zion Cathedral Church in Christ By LAURA SCHOFER Bishop Frank Otha White, senior pastor of Zion Cathedral Church of God in Christ, died on Jan. 20. He was 76 years old. Bishop White was a religious and community leader in Freeport who inspired people to put .their faith into practice and live a life of love and peace. \Bishop White was known as a genuine friend of the ecclesiastical society which he served, a highly respected colleague in civic circles, and a trusted, deeply influential dignitary among his constituents,\ reads the 'Zion Cathedral's website. He was \a prolific theologian, a benevolent philanthropist, a widely cited expos- . itor, a published scholar, and a reli- gious educator.
