Arts Council honors Kuncham Salv^^tion Army Pasta Fiesta CTO O Superintendent of the Freeport School District Dr, Kishore Kuncham was hon ored Monday by the Long Island Arts Council with the Arts in Education award. Chosen for his enthusi astic and ongoing support for the arts, Dr. Kuncham views art as a crucial and enriching component of an educational program. Dr. Kuncham was select ed to receive this award, in pan, because of his efforts to inspire others to enjoy and suppon the ans. He was honored at the Long Dr. Kishore Kuncham Island Arts Council’s annual Any Party in celebration of the beauty in an held at Westbury Manor on November 1. Dr. Kuncham has been with the Freeport School District for the past 16 years, serving as assistant superintendent for business and deputy superintendent before becoming superin tendent of schools last year. He resides in Bellmore with his wife Raji and their two sons, Bharat and Siddharth. Congratulations to The Leader! Veterans Stand Down The Nassau County Veterans Affairs Department will hold its annual Stand Down for homeless war veterans on Monday, November 22, at the Freeport Armory.
