OSWALD AND MARION SYKES VISIT THE EXHIBIT, \A Slave Ship Speaks: The Wreck of the Henrietta Marie\ on view at the African-American Museum of Nassau County until January 12. Mr. and Mrs. Sykes are scuba divers who assisted in placing a memorial plaque at the site where the slave ship rests on the ocean floor. Multiple Sclerosis programs This winter, the Long Island Chapter of the National Mulliple Sclerosis Society will host both Adapted Aquatics and MS Yoga programs at the Freeport Recreation Center in Freeport, beginning the first week of January. Both offerings are open to people living with multiple sclerosis, a chronic, life- long disease of the central nervous system. The Adapted Aquatics classes will run for 14 weeks on Mondays from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. beginning January 6. The pro- gram provides an enjoyable, low-impact form of exercise designed to help improve strength, balance and coordination. The MS Yoga program focuses on stretch- ing and breathing techniques to promote whole body relaxation. It will run for 10 weeks on Thursdays from noon to 1 p.m. and will begin January 9.
