The Mayor also thanked the Feile fami ly who has “been heavily involved in this community and has donated so much,” as well as villige employees, the New York Slate Department of Parks and R ecreation and the New York Slate D e p artm ent of lYanspoctation. among others. Nassau County Executive Thomas Gulotta said the pier was ”a small but vital aspect o f renovation. “ Mr. Gulotta ttmiuSed residents that Nassau Counp was “the 12th best place to live in th U.S. ” and that Freeport “was a ke. gem in the crown o f Nassau County.” In his closing words to residents.
