Dr. Grace Shea, described the Sylvesters “as devoted to advancing the appreciatioi) o f the arts on Long Iilaad.” Belle established the Music Advisory C o a m iu te at the Fieepon Menxtfial Library. The Sylvesters are members of the Ethical H um anist Society of Long Island, where Belle, who is a concert .violinist, organized a o sica] programs and Arnold served as President of the society. Belle is employed by the Freeport Memorial and Arnold is now retired from a career as an advertUing and publishing executive. The couple w ill receive the Arts llumanitarian Award. Freeport PTA Council And Substance Prevention Program Begins October 20 The Freeport PTA Council and the Substance Abuse Prevention Program Coordinator, are sponsoring a presenta< tion for parents designed to help them talk to their children about drugs on .Sfonday, October 20. Daytop Village. Inc. >sill give the presentation, called “Parents Educating Parents\ and it helps parents break the barriers that may prevent them from dealing with their children about substance abuse issues.
