Then come to the next Freeport Dollars for Scholars meetiog on Thursday. No>etnber 17, at 8 pan. at the Arts & Sciences Library (second floor) at Freeport High School. All community members are invited to attend. Fotinded in 1989, Freeport Dollars for Scholars provide scholarships to seniors from public, private, or parochial schools who live in tbe rreeport Schoi^ E>is3ict. The chapter is affiliated with the national Dollars for Scholars organization that has SS8 chapters in the United States. The mission of Freeport Dollars fer Scholan is to assist tbe student who siiKerely desires to coctinue bis or her education. Tbe distribution of awards encompasses students from all levels of academic achiotmenL Las: year, the organization awarded 22 scholarships of SSOO each to graduating seniors in the village. The students included: Vanessa Bedasie. Tonya Brown. Renee Carr. Bradley Carrell. Juneaun Charles, Desiree Correme, Gregory Dc Campi.
