J Bus trips for seniors French songs The Freeport Memoriar Library will present a program o f French ^ n g s and music sung by B iruta Grunwald accompanied by Charlouc Zand on the piano on Sunday. October 7, at 2 p.m. The program w ill include pieces from French opera and opcrclla, folk, songs, and at least one worV for piano by Debussy. Songs by Edith Piaf and Yvonne Printemps will be performed. . Ms. Zand aixl Ms. Grunwald, mezzo soprano, have performed at the Fine Arts Museum of Nassau County under Ihc^sponsorship o f - t h e Cultural Development OfTtcc. R e servations may be obtained by paying the fee at the the Freeport Recreation Center, 130 East Merrick Road.^FreepOft. NY 11520. On Thursday, October 11 the trip will be to Hartford, Conncciicul to tour the Mark TVvain and Harriet Beecher Spwc Houses. The fee of $45 includes a full course meal at the Avon Old Farms Inn Restaurant The bus will leave at 9 aan. and return about 9 a.m. A trip to M edieval Times in Lyndhurst N. J. to enjoy a banquet and jousting tournament is scheduled for Sunday, November 4. The fee is $45 and the group will leave at 10 a.m. and rciuni about 6 p.m. The holidays will be the theme of the Thursday, December 13 trip.
