Meodello has announced an agreement between the Hempstead Town Board and the auxiliary j^lice department in the community of Baldwin. Because of the impor tance of auxiliary police uruts in eadi area of the township, the Town issued to the Balduin Aux iliary Police Unit a $2000 gram that will be utilized to recruit, equip and train its members. “The Auxiliary Police serves an Important function in our neighborhoods,” Mr. MondeUo said. ”Tbese hard-working men and women compliment the dili gence of the county police units, and help create an enhanced police presence which is so important to the detterence of enme.
