Among the locations of the thefts was the Freeport long Island Railroad Station at about ll:2S Friday morning. August 21. A young Freeport woman sustained some injuries to her lip and chest while reportedly losing her gold and silver chains. The incident occurred in the northwest section of the village just before midnight Tuesday. August 18. The victim ha'd stopped for a ted light at Broad way and Main Street when two males approached her car asking directions. A 20-year old Merrick male allegedly tost his two gold chains as he was sitting in his car ,in - a store parking lot on Brooklyn Avenue, last week, five young males had approached him. he said, and one grabbed a chain from his neck and ran off. When the victim attempted to get out of his car. to p u r s u c ^ e thief, the other four grabbed him, punched him ' the face, and threatened him with a knife.
