I of my I.P.C.A THIJRSDAY, SEPTEMBER 30,1971 __________________ Freeport Exchange Club Supports ''Project Pumpkin for Halloween The Preepoft Exchange Club, in cooperation with the 40,000 Pair Eyes Crime Prevention Program, will support “Project Pumpkin” , President Robert FYanke announced last Mon day after the Executive Board, meeting of the Exchange Club. This project will have as its theme Ae object of decorating a pumpkin that will depict the “40,000 Pairs of Eyes” program. Three prizes donated by the Exchange Gub will be: 1st prize - Boy’s or girl’s bicycle 2nd prize - Camera 3rd prize - Radio The rules are very simple: the contest is open to bo 3 rs and girls of all ages who reside in the Village of Freeport; All entries must be received by October 29, 1971; Entries may be left at Police Headquarters, 40 North Ocean Avenue, Freeport; L.I. Graphic, 80 Church St.; The Kemal, 32 S. Grove St.; The Leader, 24 South Grove St., Freeport; The coqtest judges wUl be; Chief Anthony Elar, Robert Franke, President, Exchange Gub of Freeport, Norma Braun, publisher of The Leader, Tom McCarthy, publisher of the Kernel, Marie Miller, editor of the L.I. Graphic; judges' decisions wiU be final; in the event of ties an additional judge will chosen; all enbies become the property of the sponsors; no enbfy will be returned and no correspondence will be acknowledged; winners will be announced in Ae local press and radio shortly after Halloween. Each one submitting a pum pkin depicting the “40,000 Pairs (rf Eyes” program should print name and address on a piece of paper and place it face down inside the pumpkin. THE LEADER S.
