May 21 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, Tues day evening. Town Reports Safe Navigation Plan A ^ a f e Navigation Program is. underway to remove hazardous shoals and install navigational aids in Hempstead Town water ways, where an estimated 59,000 boats will cavort this summer. Presiding Supervisor Ralph G. Caso. reported that the Town Conservation and Waterways De- partment is working with repre sentatives of th e . U.S. Power Squadron and local yacht clubs to set up a schedule'of priorities for channel clearance according to the extent of danger and vol ume of traffic involved. Department director Harold F. Udell anticipates the installation this Spring of 40 permanent, Steel, pole-type channel markers treated with luminescent paint to aid the after-dark boatman.
