WW II GI BENEFITS EXPIRE JULY 1967 Eligible World War II veterans have just seventeen months • left in which to take advantage of the GI Loan Program, reminded EVank V. Votto, State Director of Veterans’ Affairs. With the passing of each day, Mr, Votto said, entitlement for many of these veterans ceases, w»th the final deadline for eligible World War I veterans applica tions set for July 25, 1967. The Director noted that eligibility for entitlement expires according to a formula which adds ten years to the date of th^ veterans dis charge from active wtu^'time serv ice, plus one year for each ninety days of that service. The result ing date is the individual deadline date for each veteran. In no case, however, will' eligibility extend beyond July 25, 1987. Veterans who were discharged for service- connected disabilities remain eli gible until the final terminal date. This also applies to widows of veterans who died of service- connected disabilities. Those eli gible under the program the vet erans official noted, may obtain a guaranteed loan to purchue a home, a farm, or,to buy or start a business.
