The highly respected, beloved and widely-known Rev: John jila d d e n ot Our Holy Redeemer Churchi -was the guest of honor at the Silver Jubilee Dinner and Dance In observance of his 26th anniversary in the Priesthood. Since he was -first ort^lned, Father Madden has been assigned to the Holy Redeemer Church. Prior to becoming a Roman Catholic Clergyman he was a successful trial lawyer. He is widely-known as a master orator and after-dinner speaker and has appeared before most of the major organizations of the Long Island-New York area. The Hon. Joseph Carllnp/ ^ e a k e r of the Assembly of the State of New York, was the scheduled principal speaker. (Ed. The proposed improvement covers that area from the northwest comer of Atlantic and Southside Avenues, continues north along Southside Ave„ west to Souii) Brookside Ave„ then north to West Merrick Rd., bordering on Milburn Creek in Freeport. There’ll also be improvements of the same nature on the east side of the water In Baldwin. The park will be land- ^ca^ed .ojp both sides, of the creek and will contain sidewf] facilities' ........ in a-southerly direotion between Baldwin and Freeport.
