Catholic Gradnates Guests at Breakfast Holy Ndme Society and C. D. of A« the Sponsors; Fr. Edward Says Mass The Holy Name Society and Court Stella Marls, C. D. oi A-. of Our Holy Redeemer R. C. Church gave >a Cornmunldn breakfast .In the school cafeleda- Sunday morning for 84 Catholic boys' and girls who were graduated from the Freeport High School that aftemon. The students attended the 7:30 A.M. mass, celebrated by the Rev. Father > Edward. Trinitarian mlaslonary, and himself a Freeport High alumnus. They also partook of Holy Com- munioh.- - Edward P. Reilly,^ dinner chair man for Uie Holy Name Society, officiated as master of ceremonies. He introduced Judge Kelly. Clifton B. Smith, vice-president of the Board of Education; Leo F. Qlblyn, ' dent'of Schools John yr.-Dodd. the Rev. John J. Madden, moderator of the Society; Thomas F. Reed, the Holy Name president, Mrs. Ed ward 'Orubef, grand regent of Court Stella Marts, and Mias Mary Didos, dean of girls* at Freeport High School. They all congratulated the students on having qualified for graduation, and expressed hope all would achieve success in their chosen vocations. Mayor William F.-Glackcn and C. Overton Tremper, dean of boys, were unable to be present. The llnal speuKer was the Rev. Father Edward who has been as signed tp a mission in Olbson, Miss. Jamestown, N.Y., has been named Assistant Recreation Superintendent of Free port. ^ Mr. Palermo was graduated from Cortland State Teachers College with a major in Recreation Educa tion this month. His position in Freeport began on June. 1.7. Mr. ; Palermo will assl^ Superintendent of Recreation Kent Thomson iii carrying out the work of the De partment. Part of Mr. Palermo's duties will include secretary of the slowball league, playground super visor. swimming instructor and su- his^achers.
