Victor Riesel, columnist, reporter and commentor, and Captain Harry Suerber .film director, writer and lecturer, will present the \pro and con” of this timely and vital subject. Victor Riesel, who Will present the affirmative stand on- -this -topic,-ta- an expert on the labor situation 111 practically country in the world. He began his career some twenty years ago as a laborer reporter for Brit ish, Canadian, Australian and New Zealand publications. In 1941, he joined the staff of the New York Post and, subsequently, as a labor and political columnist he was syn dicated throughout the country. Captain Sperber. the negative voice on the subject, was Chief U. S. Army Iutrepreier of the Nur emberg War Crimes Trial. He was born and educated In Beilin. Ger many, came to the United States In 1924 and.has won recognition as a writer for forty foreign papers. When Hiller came to power Cap tain Sperber risked his personal safety by blasting him over the radio in New York and was conse- 7 quently beaten by three Bund storm troopers in Yorkville. Arthur Marmor and Mrs. Louis Susswein are foreign chairmen for the Lodge and Chapter, respectively. Planning Midget Football Season Two Bids Are Received On Atlantic Beach Jobs John W. Johnson, State Super intendent of Public Works, today announced receipt of low bids to taling $600,200 for two beach pro tection projects at Atlantic Beach on the west end of Long Bench Pen insula in the Town of Hempstead, Nassau County. A total of 13 bids were received. One of .the Jobs calls for exten-' “ ] sion- of two existing stone groins i | opposite Clayton and Troy avenues.
