A.R. commemoration of George Washington's birthday Sun d ay afternoon, February 7.' at a vesper service in the church. An address of welcome was given by Julian D Smith, president of the Long Island Chapter, .SJKJR. H fit DIA.R. Chapters from Nassau and Suffolk Counties, and Long 'Island and Huntington ,SJLR. Chapters (participated in the service. The colors were advanced and re- tired by Mr. J. Ray Johnson, who carried the SJVJR. flag and Dr. Richard MoChesney, who carried the Stars and Stripes, 1?oth of whom are.former Presidents of the Long Island Chapter. Mrs. William P. Moore, Jr. carried the Buth Floyd Woodhull Chapter Flag, and her sister, Mrs. Douglas Colquhoun, the Stars and Stripes, both members of the Ruth^Floyd Woodhull Chapter. The flags of the other DJV.R. chap- ters were ;also carried. Mrs. Arthur Merrill Hulse, Chair- man of the Nassau-Suffolk Regents' Round Table, and Regent of the Suffolk 'Chapter of Riverhead, read the N names of the deceased mem- bers of both the D.AJR. and S.A.R. The Flower Pages were Miss Cam-1 Ilia Jan Redlich and Miss Beth Rhea Behari, members of the Eleanor Parke Lewis Chapter of the Children of the American Revolution, of the Lord Stirling Chapter, DoA.R. As each name of a deceased D.A.R. member was read, one of the Flower Pages placed a white carna- tion In a large vase, and a dark red carnation for each of the S.AJA. deceased members.
