Optician Passes Away The Late ALFRED LEHMANN Brief Illness Fatal To Alfred Lehmann Well' Known Optician Dies at Meadowbrook; Lived Here 22 Years .Alfred , : 'Southslcle . ons,-'75 ' Sunrise Highwajr,' died after 'an Illness of only two days Monday morning in the Meadow- brook Hospital. He was born in New York, 67 years ago, and came to Freeport from Brooklyn 22 years ago. He became an -errand boy for an optical concern when he was only 12 years of age, and learned the trade 'from the ground up until he became one of the best known experts in his line in this territory. He was given first aid treatment by Dr, Ephriam Stein, who was in the bank at the time. He'wa9 placed on a cot in the bank until the ambulfince from WEeadowbrook arrived. He was placed in an oxygen tank at thehospital : and reports from the hospital and the family on Wednesday were favorable.
