Clements, chairman for Freeport in the 1950 Red Gross fund raising , campaign, said today he was unable to give any definite figures as to the progress being made toward meeting the $8,750 quota, but that contributions were coming in nicely and he was con- fident the village would make its assignment. Be cited the case of one contributor, who doubled the amount he gave a year ago, and aaid others, were giving more liber- .ally than they did In 1949. Chairman Clements reported 226 workers were actively engaged in the campaign under captains for each of the election districts in the village and said he expected can- vassers to reach every home in the community.
