Wolverine's Lair Registration was held for the fail soccer program of the Wolverines and the results were most gratifying. At last count the number of boys and girls who have registered stood at 297. Of this number ap- proximately 18% were new registrants or first time soccer players. We are proud of the strong growth of our league and of soccer in general and we hope that we can reward the faith that has been shown in us. Soccer is the fastest growing sport in America today and hopefully Farmingdale will be in the vanguard of its success. •Hie first Farmingdale Junior Olympics will be held this weekend at Allen Park under the co-sponsorship of the Farmingdale Wolverines and the Hawks and we assure all that are entered that a fun time is planned for all, both participants and spectators. Between the apple plucking of the younger entrants and the speedy dashes of the older athletes coupled between the obstacle course for all victims we should be thrilled with laughter and delight The games will begin at Allen Park this Saturday at 10 a.m. and will end with the \running\ of the mile walk on Sunday. We are still looking for some capable assistants to help judge some of the events and we know that the people of our area will come through for us and their children. Anyone wishing to offer his or her services is asked to please call the Allen Park office at 293-0494 and give their name.
