THE CARNATION BALL, sponsored by the Junior League of the Women's Club of Farmingdale, was held Saturday night at the Beth page Clubhouse. In spite of the snow and icy roads, the affair proved to be a huge success. Liquors, 700 South Main Street, Farmingdale/ was smashed by thirsty burglars early Saturday morning, according to 8th precinct police. The thief or thieves broke the large display window at 3:15 a.m. ana escaped with six half-gallon bottles of assorted liquors. The T & C Pub, 169 Main Street, Farmingdale, was also invaded during the past week. The burglar entered the pub between 4 and 11:45 a.m. through a side window and escaped with $135 and assorted liquors. School Bd. [Continued from page 1 ] There is no danger to swim- mers in the pool because a special system of circuit breakers prevents any electric feed-back into the water. The leaking problem, however, could cost the district as much as ,190,000 for repairs to the pool. The engineering firm will be seeking to place the blame, if any, on installing contractors for a possible law suit. The pool will be drained for inspection during the winter recess. Florence Plummer Florence Plummer of Far- mingdale died Sunday, February 6. She is survived by her.sister, Mrs. Hazel Moore, and niece Janet Fischer and two grand nephews, Peter and Charles Fischer. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at St. Thomas'Episcopal Church, Farmingdale, with interment in the Powell Cemetery. Arrangements were made by the Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Farmingdale. The,\ school board also ap- pointed a six member panel to serve as the district's Committee on the Handicapped in ac- cordance with state law. The committee, consisting of three professional staff and three parents will include Preston J.
