Farmingdale, indoor Flea Market and Rummage Sale will be held on Saturday, Nov. 6, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Post Headquarters, 635 South Main Street, Farmingdale, rain or shine. Carter To Visit Jimmy Carter will appear at a rally at Hofstra University on Thursday evening, October 28, at 8 p.m., Nassau Democratic Chairman Stanley Harwood announced. Carter's first Long Island campaign appearance will take place at Hofstra's Physical Fitness Center located north of Hempstead Turnpike. The event is open to the public. School Furniture , The Farmingdale Schools are holding its first \garage sale\ this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Main Street School. On sale there will be several sets of school desks and Chairs of all vintages, one electric stove and one gas stove from the Home Economics Department, and several full size trampolines. No Game Saturday Residents are reminded that the football game scheduled for this Saturday at Freeport will not take place. The Freeport team had a conflict with a previously scheduled game and had to cancel the one against Far- mingdale. Tennis Ass'n, The newly formed Tennis Association of Farmingdale has built its membership to 106 since it was organized in August. Through September 15, these 106 members have played in a total of 242 matches. There is something for every adult tennis player - men's and women's singles, men's and women's doubles and mixed doubles. This non-profit organization plays its matches outdoors. Anyone interested in joining before the close of registration on November 15, should know there is $5 annual dues and $2 ladder fee for the season required for membership. Saladino issued a reminder to Oyster Bay residents, who have Town sanitation collection, that refuse will be collected on Election Day, November 2, and on Veterans Day, November 11.
