Wolverine's Lair ENDORSED: David Richardson, Executive Secretary of the Building and Construction Trades Council of Nassau and Suffolk Counties announced the endorsement of Stuart R. Levine, candidate for the 10th Assembly District. Richardson urged all members of the Building and Construction Trades to support and vote for Stuart R. Levine because of his work in the area of improving the local economy. Soccer registration letters and forms will be mailed this week to former members of last years teams. We hope that the interested parties will make use of these forms by pre-filling Out the forms and returning them at registration. By this system of pre-registration we hope to save time and some frustrating moments. The Wolverines expect a large return from last year's teams and hope for many new faces. We have heard from many concerned individuals that they are indeed interested in our organization and wish to see us succeed. With every turned-on parent we can expect to see a large increase in par- ticipation. Many parents have made known their dissatisfaction with other organizations because they feel left out by the hard core membership. The Wblverines do not have this problem and hopefully will not ever have the problem. First off we have no official mem- bership roster as such. All the boys and girls who participate are members. Along with them are the coaches and the parents. We need them all so we feel that they all should be members of our unofficial family. The second reason is that the Board knows that feeling of being left out of decision making in other organizations and will hot let it happen to the Wolverines. By the writing of these articles in the local newspapers we hope to inform our member families to what exactly is going on and to tell them the whys and wherefores. We would not be able to do this without the cooperation of these newspapers and for this we sincerely thank them; The local newspapers are very important to the community and you can tell a lot about the community by the news papers. It is no wonder that Farmingdale is such a great place to live and bring up a family. Next Tuesday is election day and we hope all our friends and neigh- bors will get Out and vote. Your vote single though it may be is your voice in this democratic country. Get out and Vote. Bob Darienzo IstiJWJVLJL From Congressman Jerome A. The project, which will receive approximately $7-million an- nually for operating costs in addition to the initial capital investment, needs about one hundred technicians, scientists and engineers to run the testing period. Interestingly enough, two key members of the powerful Joint Committee on Atomic Energy, Senator Henry Jackson and Congressman Mike McCormack are from Washington State. The quick bi-partisan op- position from the New York State Delegation and the large Nor- theast Regional Conference, has forced ERDA to re-evaluate its plans to shift the project to Washington. We are all confident that this type of unified stand when the new Congress convenes in January will convince ERDA to keep the project on Long Island preserving jobs at the Brookhaven Lab, as well as in support fields, and keeping Federal money in our region.
