Hawks Harem Trick or Treat — Anything for Halloween! We are fast approaching that most famous of eerie and spooky nights when the witches of the world corne out of haunted houses and set astride their broomsticks. They soar off into the night with their shadows cast against the moon. As they set to do their mystical magic. It's a time also when all children love to get dressed up in their favorite costumes and ring the neighborhood doorbells in search of treats like candy and fruit. Oh what fun, but be careful. Make sure the younger ones are well chaperoned. Aside from the children, many of their parents will probably be dressed similarly on Friday night, October 29. The L.A.F.H.'s Halloween Costume Party is about to take place. Don't forget this is a fund raiser and the children get out of it exactly what their parents put into it. Some people in town were a little bit happier this week for having been members of The Quarterback Club. They were: Susan Schmidt with200pts. (ChrisSchmidt); Ms. Robbins -100 pts. (R. Sichler) and C. Incornoto (M. Mclntyre). Congratulations! It seems on October 18, a maroon snorkel wondered off from Heisser and hasn't been seen since. It's not very big (size 10) and has never been lost before. If anyone knows of its whereabouts call Bernadette Grillo (694-5313). Thanks! You \old timers\ might like to know that ex-Hawk Tom Zimmer (Loretta's son) is 1st string quarterback for Snowhill Jr. High in Maryland. M Re-Elect — Republican — Conservative — Rows B-C 4th District State Senator Four years now, your personal friend and neigh- bor, Owen Johnson, has been doing a tre- mendous job serving you in the State Senate! A FEW OF THE MANY REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD RE-ELECT OWEN JOHNSON: Senator Johnson is a full-time public official with a perfect attendance record in the State Senate. He maintains a district office through personal and not government funds! Senator Johnson has demonstrated true leadership and vision as an architect of the Tui- tion Assistance Program to aid State college students! Senator Johnson's priority concern is to stop tax increases of all kinds for 4th District residents! Senator Johnson has saved many jobs and has worked to create hundreds of new ones, as the State Senate's chief advocate for small business. ! Senator Johnson fought very hard to suc- cessfully get back increased aid to education for 4th District residents. Governor Carey tried to take it away from you. Your Senator chal- lenged him! Senator Johnson enjoys experienced re- spect among legislature colleagues. This is vitally important to 4th District Residents. His opponent would be controlled by New York City political bosses and be expected to vote with the Brooklyn-Manhattan \Carey-Orenstein- Steingut Machine.\ just like a puppet on a string! APT.
