In order to qualify for reduction in 1977 taxes, ap- plications must be filed at the Village Hall on or before December 31. Any questions pertaining to these exemptions will be an- swered by either writing Village Hall, 361 Main Street, Far- mingdale, or calling Mrs. Lillian Kowalski, Deputy Village Clerk at 249-0093. Water Topic The West Farmingdale Civic Ass'n. is holding their next meeting at Woodward Parkway School on Tuesday, September 28, at 8 p.m. All members, non-members, and concerned residents of Farmingdale are asked to attend. The meeting has to do with the dumping of raw garbage at the Plainview Landfill. Evidence to date indicates our water supply is threatened. At the meeting will be representatives from Protect Our Water (P.O.W.), the Far- mingdale Water Commissioners, along with their Engineer. Instrument Sale Farmingdale Public Schools will hold a public sale of obsolete musical instruments. These are instruments that were used in the schools' instrumental music program and as a result of years of use, most instruments will require extensive repairs to restore them to some kind of playing condition. Mothers Club St. Kilian Mothers' Club regular monthly meeting will be held September 27, 8:15 p.m., in the Cherry St. School Cafeteria. All women of the parish are cordially invited. The topic will be \How to Better Parent-Child Relationship.\ YFC Arts Program The Youth Council's Cultural Arts Program will be holding registration for their self- supporting, non-profit workshop classes on Friday, October 1, at 7:30 p.m. in the Parkway Oaks School, Carmen Rd. Massapequa Park. The program is scheduled to commence on Saturday, Oc- tober 16, and run for eight con- secutive weeks. Classes will be open to pre-school thru 12th grade in pre-kindergarten, sculpture, ceramics, oil & acrylic painting, creative dramatics, creative dance, ballet, group guitar, and group piano. Board Holidays Because the 2nd and 4th Mondays of October are legal holidays, there will be no Village of Farmingdale, Board of Trustees meetings scheduled. The Board, however, will meet on October 4 and October 18. Seniors Meet The Senior Citizens of Far- mingdale, Inc. will be meeting on Wednesday, September 29, between 12:30 and 4 p.m. at the Main Street School in Far- mingdale. Bus pick-ups same as last year. Parking in rear of school. Please use ramp en- trance. Need Furniture The Senior Citizens of Far- mingdale, Inc. need help. The Board of Education has allowed them to have club meetings at the Main St. School, until it is sold. Unfortunately, the classrooms do not have any furniture.
