Rocky'* Back Vice President Nelson A. Rockefeller will be the guest speaker at the Nassau County Republican Committee's annual $l25-a-ticket fund-raising dinner June 24 at 8 p.m. at the Colonie Hill in Hauppeuge. Assemblyman Joseph M. Margiotta (R-Uniondale), Party Chairman, said a very large turnout of Party supporters and friends, as well as officials, is pxDGcted The Nassau GOP affair is billed as \A Salute to Holly and Len\ - A. Holly Patterson of Hempstead, former Nassau County Executive and former county party leader, and Leonard W. Hall of Lat- tingtown, former national party chairman and former congressman. Rockefeller was elected governor of New York State in 1958 and resigned Dec. 18, 1973, after deciding against seeking a fifth term. On Aug. 20, 1974, President Gerald R. Ford, acting under the 25th Amendment to the Con- stitution, nominated Rockefeller as vice president. Following confirmation by the Congress, Rockefeller was sworn in as vice president Dec. 19,1974. Rockefeller and his wife and family reside in upstate Pocantico Hills, Tarrytown, and also have homes in Washington and Manhattan. The Nassau GOP dinner will be held for the third consecutive year at the Colonie Hill, a huge catering complex which can accommodate the large affair, Margiotta noted. * Films Under Stan On Thursday, June 24, at 8:45 p.m., the Farmingdale Public Library will present the first of its \Films Under The Stars\ program. The Fabulous World of Jules Verne will be shown at the South Farmingdale Branch parking lot, Merritt Road and Boundary Avenue. Admission free. Please bring chairs.
