The meeting is open to all parents and children of Jr. High school age. NO child will be permitted to attend without one of his/her parents. Back In Action Whirlin' Disc Records, after two months of preparation and planning since the Fire on January 13, is now open in a new location across Main Street from their former store. Now located at 230 Main St., the record shop boasts more com- plete facilities than before, in- cluding a brand new Country Music department, * which has become very popular, and a new children's department. The new store also provides more space for a larger inventory of- all modes of music. Masons To Meet The Masonic Temple, 197 Fulton Street, Farmingdale, will hold a regular meeting on Friday, March 19, at 7:30 p.m. The Second Degree of Masonry will be conferred upon proficient candidates. A social hour will follow. All Master Masons are welcome to attend this meeting. Cocktail Party The Farmingdale Kiwanis and Kiwanettes will hold their second annual cocktail party and hot buffet on Saturday, March 20, in the DeMarco Building, 640 Fulton St., at 8 p.m. A donation of five dollars per person includes two cocktails. Paper Drive The tournament team of the Farmingdale Fire Department will have its March paper drive {Saturday, March 20. All village residents are asked to place bundled papers at the curb Friday night or early Saturday morning. Anyone wishing to bring papers to the collection station behind fire headquarters may do so anytime during the weekend. TV Violence Panel presentation on TV Violence and Its Effect on Children and Youth, on March 26 (10-12 noon), St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 145 Prospect Street, Farmingdale. Speakers will be Dr. Joyce Sprafkin, associate director, Center for Media Research; Dr. Nicholas Massa, chief psychologist, Farmingdale Schools; Ms. Jane Delgado, former director of child casting oh Sesame Street. CAP A Chorale The Farmingdale Public Library will host its Second Bicentennial Concert at the Library, sponsored by the Town of Oyster Bay, Cultural and Performing Arts Division, on Sunday, March 21 from 3-5 p.m. at its South Branch. The CAPA Chorale, directed by Carl Olsen, will include in its program a selection of Broadway tunes, classical music, and Bicentennial songs. The Chorale was formed in 1974 and has performed ex- tensively on Long Island. Its director Carl Olsen, a tenor formerly with the New York City Opera and a former winner of the Metropolitan Opera Auditions, is presently Voice and Chorale Director at Columbia University. Free tickets are available at the Reference Desk at the Library for the entire family. Cordial Cooking The Farmingdale Auxiliary of the Association, for the Help of Retarded Children will hold their monthly meeting on Wed. March 24, 8 p.m., at the Knights of Columbus Hall, Morton St. and Garity Place, E. Farmingdale. Program for the evening will be Cooking with Cordials courtesy of The National Bank of North America. Come and learn a new way of cooking. Refreshments will be served. St. High PTA The Farmingdale Senior High School P.T.A. will have a general meeting on Thursday, March 18, in Thomas Guilford Hall at 8 p.m. The program will consist of a presentation by Edwin Schlosser, director of Vocational Education, who will discuss the BOCES program. D. Silverman will present the Informal School program. High school students as well as parents are invited. Citizen Kane \Citizen Kane\ starring Orson Welles will be the Farmingdale Public Library's Film presen- tation on Thursday,March 25, at 7:30 p.m. at the South Branch Merritts Road and Boundary Avenue. Art Exhibit* In Community Room at the South Branch Library The Student Art Society of Far- mingdale will be presenting a special exhibit of children's painting and artwork through March 26. The exhibit may be viewed during library hours. In the Main Library exhibit, Barbara Gold presents a display of abstract paintings, through the end of March. \Antique Meerschaum Pipes\ are being displayed in the South Branch Library's Center Case through the month of March. The Antique Pipes are from the special collection of Dr. Gottfried Burton. Civic Ass'n. The West Farmingdale Civic Association invites all area residents to Woodward Parkway School for coffee and cake and to meet the new officers on Wed- nesday, March 24, at 8 p.m. The association was formed to give residents an effective voice in determining community matters. Charm Set«iont Mrs. Renee Solomon will conduct a two-hour session for young girls, particularly of urn* intermediate and Junior tush school age, on Saturday, March 27. The session will deal with the essentials of poise, etiquette, grooming and other points of interest to young girls. The session will be held at both Main Library from 2-4 p.m., and at South Branch from 10-12 noon. Pre-registration is required and free tickets are available at the time of registration. Dinner Dance Farmingdale Columbiettes #2204 are sponsoring a St. Patrick's Day Dinner and dance at the Farmingdale K. of C. Hall on Morton Street and Garity Place on Saturday evening, March 20. A corned beef and cabbage dinner, door prizes, and dancing from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. are included in the price of ad- mission. Tickets are $6.00 per person.
