Hanneford Circus Coming The famed and internationally renowned Hanneford Circus will once again make its appearance on the campus of the State University at Farmingdale in Nold Hall for a special two-day engagement. On Thursday, April 1, the show times are: 11 am and 8 pm. The Friday, April 2 per- formances are: 12 Noon, 4:30 pm, and 8 pm. The circus, a major three-ring production and one of the country's largest, has been a smash hit at colleges and universities throughout the country as well as appearing in motion pictures and virtually every leading television variety show of the past decade. Starting with the old \Ed Sullivan Show\ and \Don Ameche's In- ternational Show Time,\ and on through \Coliseum \Hip- podrome,\ the \Gary Moore Show,\ \Hollywood Palace,\ and many others. They have also been featured at the Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto, the Calgary Stampede, the Pacific National Exhibition in Vancouver, the New York World's Fair, Madison Square Garden, the London Palladium en Campbell At Westbury The Glen Campbell Show, an evening of live entertainment headlining Glen Campbell, one of America's top performers, will play a one-week engagement March 23-28 at the Westbury Music Far. Joining Campbell is a special guest, comic Lonnie Shorr. Tickets are available for the Tues., Wed. and Thurs concerts beginning at 8:30 pm and Fri, 8:30 pm and Sat, 7 and 10:30 pm shows. Glen Campbell, one of the nation's leading concert at- tractions, has been awarded 11 Gold Records for single and album releases during his career. He has been honored five times by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, holds six awards from the Academy of Country and Western Music and was named Country Music Association \Entertainer of the Year\. He is also one of the few artists to receive both the Gold Cassette and Gold 8-Track awards, as well as a Gold Record for a single album in Great Britain. This was achieved with the \Glen Camp- bell's Greatest Hits\ LP. Glen's \Rhinestone Cowboy\ single was the only record of 1075 to go Number 1 pop, country and easy-listening in ail three major music trade publications. \Rhinestone Cowboy\ was also voted Country Single of the Year by Billboard Magazine and became Campbell's 12th Gold million seller. Many friends have warned Paul that this role may hurt his screen image but he says he doesn't care and will go ahead with the filming, which will take place in Montreal next month Jimmy Caan tried to pick up a \lovely\ in a Las Vegas bar only to find out that it was a transvestite. Caan and Elliot Gould had been to Vegas to appear on a Don Rickles special and decided to go down into the bar where it all hap- pened Doris Day and Kirk Douglas just don't like each other. She said in her book that Kirk is wrapped up in himself and he says that Doris is just about the remotest person I know and in all major circuses of the world. The Hanneford Circus presents a well-polished and sophisticated performance that includes all of the traditional circus features against a production background one would normally -expect in a Broadway show or major ice review. The performance runs a very fast-paced two hours and includes over thirty acts and elaborate displays. It embraces many startling and unusual features with, special emphasis on the performance of wild animals including tigers, lions, leopards, seals, and human like chimpanzees. Its performers are sharp young professionals who show the audience their talents in areas of acrobatics, juggling, bareback riding, dealing with trained animals and superb aerial gymnastics. Their out- standing performing abilities have permitted them to rise to stardom in this, the most demanding and diverse of all performing areas. Admission to the circus is: $2 for faculty, staff, alumni, and Evening College students, $1 for their children under 12 years of age. Full-time day students will get two free tickets each. For the Farmingdale community, ad- mission is $2.50 for adults and $1.50 for children under 12. Among the stars that Chiquita has designed costumes for are Adrienne Barbeau, who plays the daughter in \Maude Valerie Perrine, in \Lennie all the costumes in \Zorba the Greek,\ and belly dancers Sultana, Little CHIQUITA Egypt, Little Eva, La Savona and Tedi Lee...Cute Chiquita has also appeared in many films and is a double for Lupe Velez, the Latin dynamite of a few years ago.
