EP Yoyfh , 18 , Faces Auto Theft Charg e An IS- year-oId East Ps tshoguc youth ls scheduled to appear today •t 9:30 a.m. In First District Cot' .ct , Commack , on a charge of stealing an auto Saturday from an East Patchogue apartment build- ing. The defendant , Peter Wall , of $09 Robinson Avenue , who was /held in lieu of $500 bail for hla A court Appearance , was appre- hended by Fifth Precinct Patrol\ man Richard Reichert while the officer was on patrol. Police said young Wall was unable to show a driver ' s license or registration for the vehicle he was driving, and was brought to the precinct headquarters in Patchogue. The youth was questioned by Fifth Squad Det. Edward Mayer. According to police , the auto , which young Wall was driving, is owned by Barbara Swisher of 309 Robinson Avenue , who had not known her car was missing. Police reported that the youth had had the job of washing cars At the Presidential Apartments 4 ' building, and had had duplicate car keys made. With these keys , police said , the defendant had taken various aulas for a drive. Ik Bank Group Asks Extension To Raise Cash LAKE RONKONKOMA -— Adam W. Eberhardt , president of the organizational committee planning to establish here tbe Ex- pressway Federal Savings and .Loan Association , said the com- mittee has applied for an exten- sion of time in which to raise the $1 millloa in savings accounts required by the Federal Home Loan Bank before die bank can op- erate. \I am confident that we will receive the extension , \ said Mr. Eberhardt Monday. He said the committee had not been able to raise the $1 million by Friday. He declined to say bow much more must be raised before the minimum figure is reached. Andrew Dunn , K) , of 83 \Lexington Drive , Shirley, injured December 28 when the bicycle he was riding was hit by a car , wes discharged Friday to his home. And two-year-old Pat- ricia Martins of 310 . Whittier Drive , injured when the car in which she was riding was in collision with a Long Island Rail ' Rood train December 22 in Mas- tic , was sent home from the hospital December 27. Adelphi Ups Room , Board Tuition Fees GARDEN CITY - The board of trustees of Adelphi University has approved an increase in tuition and room and board fees , effective June 1, Wallace & Girling, chairman of the board , announced. The tuition will be raised to $44 per credit for undergraduate students and to $47 per credit for graduates. Beginning Is the Fall of t&e 1965 academic ysar , the room and board fee will be raised from $1 , 000 to $1 , 100 per year. - The tuition increase will also apply at the univer- sity ' s branch institution , Adel- phi Suffolk College , in Oakdale. However , with the raise In tuition , there will be a reductioa in university fees, For the grad- uate student taking seven credit hours or less, the fee will be reduced from $30 to $20 per semester. The fee for students enrolled in the division of gen- eral studies for sevan credit hours or less will be reduced from $30 to $15 per semester. All other fees remain unchanged.
