Stanton , president of the Bank of Babylon today recommended banking by mail as the service for busy people. \This plan , \ Mr. Stanton said , \ was just made to order for busy peopl e who make their time as well as their money count. No matter where you live , you can bank by mail as quickly and as easily as you would mail a letter. Friendly Bob has special envelopes you may use , and of course , we pay postage both ways. \If you ' re writing a check , make it payable to us for addition to your account; or , if the check is made out to you , endorse it for payment to your account . Bob will do the rest. This service puts an end to braving stormy weather to do your banking. In fact , you can pay all your bills by mail and do it through a checking account at Bank of Babylon. \You can open an account in person or by mail. Simply write or phone us for necessary forms if you 'd like to open an account by mail , then get on a regular schedule of saving on our bank by mail plan. Or , if you prefer , stop in person at one of the seven convenient neighborhood offices in Babylon , West Babylon , North Babylon , Deer Park , West Islip Brightwaters , or South Com- mack. \ Stanton Says (Continued fro m Page 3) welfare costs (It ' s time for a gel- lough attitude on welfare ) . Stale Alt Gen. Louis Lelkowitz will John John V N Klein , GOP candidate lor County Executive today (Thursday ) for the Suflolk County Republican Committee luncheon at Canoe Place Inn , Hampton Bays. Peter K Cohalan , GOP can- didate lor Islip supervisor , outlined plans to create a Town Natural Resources Board \ which would be empowered to deal with zoning and the environment. \ He explained that this board would have the power to develop a master plan , enforce existing zoning ordinances , have jurisdiction and evaluate all zoning applications for their effect on the environment. Candidates of the Islip Democrat party ticket took part in a rally and motorcade at Brentwood Saturday. It was proceeded b y a walkathon in the area. Bill Soba , Dem candidate for tax receiver , reports there should not be a lack of voter in- terest \judging by the wonderful reception received throughout the day. \ The formation of a Citizen- Government Unit \to more ef- fectively deal with Islip ' s drug abuse problem \ has been proposed by John P. Finncrty , GOP candidate for town coun - cilman. Finnerty, before a group of Brentwood civic leaders , proposed : To develop a group of social workers and other professionals , concerned civic leaders , parents , teachers , school officials , and law en- forcement officials who with town officials would comprise a full-time unit to dea l with all drug problems. Norman DeMott , GOP can- didate for town council , has asked that reconsideration that be given to the move to transfer the licensing of Fire Island Beach Buggies to the federal govern- ment \because it would needlessly remove home rule powers from the town. I don 't think in this day and age of too much big brother federal government encroaching on the powers of local governments that we should give them any more power. \ MELTON ENDORSES (Continued from Page 8) and responsible enough to safely ride it. Minibikes should not be ridden on the streets. That' s where most minibike fatalities occur. Keep in mind that minibikes are like miniature motorcycles . They are subject to the same riding and protective clothing safety requirements - helmet , full-length trousers , long sleeves and full shoes or boots. I wish to say thank you to those people who called my office , regarding the omission of the last two articles , but the real reason was that I and my wife Joan took a trip to Bermuda , for a much needed rest. The phone is again available to all residents of Brentwood wishing to contact me in pe rson . Please call afte r 0 p.m. daily, and you will be almost sure to get me in. The B.C.C. p hones are 273-5914 or 273-5846. Thanks again for your concern , it can make one feel real good. Support your local papers , merchants , and professional people. BRENTWOOD C OF C
