Bay Shore Library Offers Teen Film \Nobody Waved Goodbye ; \ a motion picture study of teenage rejection of middle class con- ventions and goals , will be shown at the Bay Shore - Brightwaters Public Library at 8 PM on Thursday, October 28. There is no admission charge. This prize - winning feature film makes a dramatic , ap- pealing contribution to an un- derstanding of modern youth in conflict with the standards of their parents and society, using natural realism and im- provisational acting to convey the story of teenagers searching for direction in a world of con- fusion and change. Produced by the National Film Board of Canada , \Nobody Waved Goodbye \ is one of the non - fiction films scheduled by the - Library in its current Documentary Series. SPECIAL NOTE : It was un- fortunately necessary to make a last - minute cancellation of the first meeting of the C.W. Post College Continuing Education course , \The Contemporary Novel. \ scheduled for October 5 at 8 PM at the Bay Shore - Brightwaters Public Library. The first meeting of this five - session course has now been set for Wednesday, October 20, with following classes planned for October 26 , November 2 , 23 , and 30.
