One of the premises for bussing black children to predominantly white schools was that theytwould receive. quote. a quality, unquote, education. Now if we bus white students into predominantly black schools does the theory go in reverse? We don’t think so, but none-the-less, the theory exists. And a good percentage of the school integration program by missing is still theory. . We have always felt that bussiiig diverts moneyrthat should be better used for education especially for the removal of the \cinder- ella-and-the-pumpkin coach atmosphere. One of the major disadvantages of bussing, in our estimation, is that a youngster~ -white or black- -can't takefulladvantage of what a school has to offer in extra-curricular programs if he has to catch a bus, and if the school and its teachers have any extra curricular activities to offer. _ THE 1971 GREATER.MISS LANCASTER PAGEANT — The Happening ——- will be present on April 17th at 8 p.m. at the Kiwanis Club in Depew.
